Anytime you buy a product from someone you always wonder if they actually use the product themselves. I am an independent Nikken distributor and I do use the products myself. I decided to write this series of posts to talk about the products that I actually use, why I use them, and what benefits I believe I receive from them.
So far I have talked about the magnetic sleep system, magnetic jewelry, and the air filter.
Oh, by the way, the day after I wrote the air filter post I found out that the current Air Wellness Power 5 Pro will be discontinued next month, on April 1 I think. It will be replaced with a new Kenko Air Purifier. I also heard that, probably for the first time in Nikken history, the new system will cost less than the old one.
I use the Nikken Water Filters
There are two reason why I chose to talk about the water filters this time. One, I believe that clean, alkaline water is the best nutritional supplement that you can take. Two, the Nikken Aqua Pour, which my family uses, was discontinued last October and people are wondering what their options are.
When I started with Nikken six years ago they had the Aqua Pour and a counter top system that was about to be discontinued. The Aqua Pour was in the pack that I ordered, so that is what I got. I wasn’t a big water drinker at the time because I didn’t like the taste. The Nikken PiMag Aqua Pour changed that.
I also like the Aqua Pour because it is a gravity-powered water filter, completely stand-alone. If the power goes out, it still works. It doesn’t have to stay near the sink. Ours sits on a low table away from the sink where our kids can reach it.
It is also portable. That was good for me in the early days. While I was figuring out how to do this business I would go to wellness expos and business fairs and I could set up the Nikken Aqua Pour on our table and give out water. My parents go camping and they can take their Aqua Pour at home and take it with them in their camper.
Yes, I love the Aqua Pour. I was sad to see it discontinued last October. It’s replacement, the PiMag Waterfall, looks pretty good too. I’ll talk about that later.
Six months after we started with Nikken, they brought out the PiMag Deluxe systems, the counter top and the under counter. We decided to go with the under counter, plumbed it in, and installed the beverage faucet. I love the convenience.
The Aqua Pour is essentially for the kids now. All the rest of the water for drinking (us, the cat, and the ferrets), cooking, cleaning veggies, watering the plants comes from the under counter.
We also use the Nikken shower filter. I don’t talk much about it but I’m glad that I have it. Again, we’re on a well so it isn’t absolutely essential for us. After the last trip to my in-laws though, I think I know what I’m giving them as an early Christmas present. There was so much chlorine in their shower that I felt sick for the next several hours. I would not take another shower while I was there.
I have an Aqua Pour. It’s Discontinued. What do I do now?
That’s right, the Nikken Aqua Pour was discontinued on October 1, 2011. I was disappointed at first but now I understand why. Too many companies are making shoddy copies so Nikken found ways to improve the technology. That is all now in the PiMag Waterfall. It is still a gravity water filter, so it has all the same benefits that I enjoy from the Aqua Pour.
Upgrading to the Nikken Waterfall is one option. Actually, if you are in the US or Canada and have an Aqua Pour, contact me and I will help you upgrade to a Waterfall at the wholesale price.
The other option is to stick with your Aqua Pour for now. I’ve never seen it in writing, but my experience is that Nikken continues to support discontinued products for 5 or 6 years after they are discontinued. I expect the Aqua Pour replacement parts to continue to be available for at least another 4 years from now, probably longer because there are a lot of Aqua Pours out there.
If you have ordered an Aqua Pour or parts for an one from me in the past, or do in the future, I will have your contact info and will let you know as soon as I hear about when the replacement parts will go away. Again, I don’t expect that to be any time soon. Continue to use your Nikken Aqua Pour in good health. I am.
