Anytime you buy a product from someone you always wonder if they actually use the product themselves. I am an independent Nikken distributor and I do use the products myself. I decided to write this series of posts to talk about the products that I actually use, why I use them, and what benefits I believe I receive from them.
This is part 2 in this series. If you haven’t yet, read part 1 where I talked about the magnetic sleep system. In this installment I will talk about Nikken’s magnetic jewelry that my wife and I use.
On my first introduction to Nikken we borrowed a magnetic sleep system like I told you last time. I also borrowed my sponsor’s magnetic necklace. It was a previous version of the gold-plated metal link necklace where just about every other link was magnetic.
There was one night while I had it that I didn’t get much sleep. I don’t remember why. A child teething, storms, working late on something, I don’t remember. At work the next morning (I still had a J.O.B. at the time) I a couple back-to-back meetings. I don’t handle meetings very well under the best of circumstances. Without sleep the night before, I was going to fall asleep for sure.
Something about that magnetic necklace kept me energized and awake through the meetings all morning. I was absolutely amazed. I had to give everything back at the end of the week, and I did not want to part with that necklace.
That necklace was the first thing I ordered when I signed up. Nikken is in Irvine, CA and I live about an hour north of Atlanta, GA. It took 4 days by US Priority Mail. I was ready when it arrived.
The first magnetic bracelets came six months later, in October 2006. My wife ordered the Women’s Braided Stainless bracelet and I took the Titanium Link bracelet. My wife lost her’s at a qigong seminar but I still have mine.
The sport bracelets came out about the same time. I thought they were kind of ugly but they were very inexpensive, so we tried them out. They were made of a hollow silicone tube with the technology bits loose inside the tube. We had two small children at the time and my sport bracelet lost a tug of war between them. The silicone tube could tear easily.
The Bella Passione jewelry came a year later. Unfortunately, like the sport bracelets, the necklaces relied on hollow silicone tubes that were not kid-tested. The links tore easily if pulled too hard, and small children pull things. I think my wife and I each went through two necklaces each before we went back to the metal ones. They were discontinued a year and a half later.
Now we have the PowerBands available as necklaces and bracelets. I really like these. They are nylon-wrapped solid silicone bands instead of hollow tubes so they handle wear and tear pretty well. We have had our first ones for over a year now and they have held up great. No problems what-so-ever.
They are much more appropriate for young kids and active adults. We have in each of the first four colors. I have a black necklace and a yellow bracelet, my wife has the blue bracelet, and we have a neon green bracelet. I’m not a big fan of red.
I’m very excited that they have come out now with the Nikken green. Green is my favorite color and the neon-green isn’t really green. It is more “off”-yellow. The Nikken green just came available yesterday so I haven’t had a chance to order one yet.
So that covers most of the history of Nikken’s jewelry for the past six years. We tried most of it and I hope the PowerBands stick around for a long time. They are the most durable and functional jewelry that Nikken has come up with.
Oh, one more thing. There are only three magnets, in the form of beads, on the PowerBands. Don’t make the mistake of thinking that they are weak and that they won’t do anything. I have had a couple customers who put three necklaces around their neck at one time and became light-headed or got a “buzz”.
Individually, the magnets are fairly weak. It isn’t the strength of the individual magnets that’s important. It is the strength of the field created in the space inside the loop of the necklace that matters. When you put it on your spinal cord, blood vessels, meridians, and everything else in your neck passes through that magnetic field.
I found something yesterday about air filtration so I think I will talk about the Air Wellness filters next time. So, until then…
