Lead Is Still A Problem In Tap Water

Get Lead out of Drinking Water

I read an article today from Dr. Mercola: “Toxic Taps: Lead is Still the Problem” about lead contamination in drinking water. Lead pipes aren’t used anymore for new water pipelines but there are still a lot of old lead pipes in place. For a while water companies were replacing the lead pipes, but that disturbed areas of corrosion and actually raised the levels of lead in the water.

Lead in the water is a major health concern for everyone, child or adult, who may be drinking it. In children, lead can lead to behavior and learning problems, headaches, seizures, and even death. In adults, lead can cause hearing and vision impairment, high blood pressure, and nerve disorders. You need to get the lead out of your water.

Since you don’t have control over the pipes that bring the water to your house, you have to deal with the problem once it gets to your house. The most convenient solution is a water filter certified to remove lead from the water.

Nikken’s PiMag Waterfall is a gravity-powered counter top water filter certified to remove lead as well as chlorine and other chemicals from your water. It also alkalizes and ionizes the water to make it even more beneficial for your health.

Great post, Wayne! Lead is an important discussion and you’ve covered it well. I absolutely LOVE my Waterfall and my family drinks so much more water now that we have it.

    • Thanks for the comment Nadine. I drank very little water before I had my Nikken water filter because the water didn’t taste good. I couldn’t imagine being without my water filter and the great tasting water it produces.
