Last fall Nikken introduced the latest Nikken magnetic mattress pad, the Kenko Naturest Mattress Topper, and discontinued all of the existing magnetic mattresses and mattress pads. The people I have heard from who have them absolutely raved about them because they are more comfortable with the new natural latex material and the new magnets provide improved magnetic coverage for your body while you are sleeping.
What good is a magnetic mattress pad without a comforter and some pillows? Nikken offers Sleep System Packs that include everything you need. The comforters all contain far-infrared fibers and most of them contain magnetic and negative-ion capabilities as well.
Nikken offers both a regular pillow and a travel pillow. The Nikken pillows are both made with the same latex and magnets as the mattress toppers.
If you are familiar with Nikken's older magnetic mattress pads, keep in mind that this new pad is not like the older pads. The magnets in the Naturest Mattress Topper only has magnets where they are needed. There aren't any magnets behind where your neck would be because they would be blocked by a pillow. The full size pads and larger also don't have any magnets down the middle, the space between where two people would be lying. If you sleep alone and use a size Full or larger, you will need to sleep on one side to get benefit from the magnets. I highly recommend getting the magnetic pillow to get the magnets that go behind your neck.
People have asked me about some of the older Nikken mattress pads lately so I will address some of that here. Nikken started making magnetic mattress pads back in 1979 with the original KenkoPad. When I started my independent distributorship in 2006, Nikken had both magnetic mattress pads and magnetic mattresses. The mattress was called the Ultra Kenko Deluxe Mattress which was later replaced with the KenkoAire Mattress, which was basically an air bed with a magnetic mattress pad on top. They have been discontinued but some sizes are still available at a discount until supplies are gone.
I don't know how long ago the original KenkoPad was discontinued. When I started, along with the magnetic mattress, Nikken offered the Kenko Dream Light Pad and the Ultra KenkoPad. The Dream Lite pad was thicker than the Ultra KenkoPad and both were intended to be used on top of your existing mattress. Like the KenkoAire magnetic mattress, these mattress pads have also been discontinued. They are both still available in very limited sizes. Please check my discontinued products page to see what sizes I can still order for you. I have used the Ultra KenkoPad for 4 years, it is very firm, and I love it.
A Good Night's Sleep is Essential to Your Health
As you know, when you don't get enough sleep you will be very tired and generally in a bad mood the next day. A good night's sleep is also essential for your body to function properly. The time that you spend sleeping is the time that your body uses to take care of some very important business. Night time is when your body makes use of the nutrition that you take in during the day to replenish your body, repair the damage caused by the day's activities, and energize the body for the next day. Sleep is also when the body processes fat. So if you have been on a diet, exercising, drinking enough water, but still haven't been able to lose weight then try adjusting your sleep and see how it goes. Long term lack of sleep can begin to affect your memory and your judgement.
