I think that having a Nikken comforter, a far-infrared blanket, on your bed is a key element to getting great sleep at night.
Staying a comfortble temperature is an important part of getting a good night sleep. If you get too warm you wake up sweating. If you get too cold you wake up shivering. Either way, when you wake up, you aren't getting good sleep.
Nikken's far-infrared comforters aren't like all the other infrared blankets you can find online. For one, it doesn't look like one of those ugly aluminum foil-like things. It also doesn't have to be plugged in. Having an electric current close to your body like that can create potentially harmful magnetic fields very close to the body.
These comforters are great-looking white blankets that contain a ceramic fiber that provides far-infrared energy naturally from the ambient heat in the room. They also contain magnets that complement the magnets in the Nikken mattress pads and, along with the Naturest magnetic pillow, complete a relaxing and rejuvenating magnetic field around your body.
Nikken also has a smaller travel comforter without magnets for when you are away from home.
- Lightweight Far-Infrared Comforter - A lightweight comforter that is light enough to not be too warm during the summers in the south and still be warm enough to handle the winter nights that get down near freezing. ( I live in Georgia. That's cold for us ).
- Heavyweight Far-Infrared Comforters - A heavyweight comforter. This comforter will better handle the colder northern temperatures, especially for our Canadian friends, and still be breathable enough that it will work well during the summer.
- Travel Comforter - The travel comforter smaller than the regular comforters so that you can take it with you. It does not have magnets or negative ions.
These comforters work so well at moderating body temperature that we use them on anyone in our family if they run a temperature. We just wrap them up in one of the comforters and their temperature is usually back to normal the next day. Naturally, if there is something serious going on then you should see your doctor.
