Nikken’s OsteoDenx supplement contains lactoferrin and the Bone Health Pack that includes OsteoDenx also includes Nikken’s stand-alone Lactoferrin Gold 1.8 supplement. Nikken must believe there is some benefit, so what are the lactoferrin benefits for osteoporosis?
Your bones are a like a bank for calcium. When you eat calcium, the excess is deposited in your bones. When your body needs calcium it withdraws it from your bones. If you have a calcium deficit your bones can get weak and more likely to break.
There are two types of cells responsible for regulating your bone mass. Osteoblasts create bone and store the calcium. Osteoclasts break it down when the body withdraws the calcium. Obviously they need to stay in balance to maintain a strong skeleton. Osteoporosis is caused when your osteoclasts break down bone faster than your osteoblasts can create it.
Let’s look at the lactoferrin benefits for osteoporosis.
It is winter in the US, Canada and the rest of the northern hemisphere and there is still plenty of time for cold weather. Do you know how to stay warm this winter?
Most people I know just crank up the heat in their homes and make large monthly contributions to the electric and gas companies. Aside from spending too much money, you are paying to heat areas of your house that aren’t being used.
I mentioned Earthing a couple times in my past few posts, and I thought I should explain it a little bit more. So, what is Earthing?
I first learned about it several years ago from something that David Wolfe promoted. It made a lot of sense to me, so I decided to explore it further and invest in one of the Earthing mats.
I really like my Earthing mat and I believe that it has helped me as I spend a lot of time working on my computer.
I make sure that my kids get their nutritional supplements regularly this time of year. A lot of people seem to get sick when the temperatures cool off from summer to winter. When you give your kids nutritional supplements, you have to know what nutritional supplements are best for them.
I wrote the original version of this post several years ago, on February 19, 2009. With everything that has changed over the years, the one thing that hasn’t changed is the list of nutritional supplements that I give to my kids.
We need the energy from the four classic elements to stay healthy. Those elements are fire, water, air and earth. In my previous 3 posts I wrote about fire, in the form of energy from the sun, water and air. This post is about the earth element – Earthing for health.
There are two components that I want to talk about when it comes to Earth energy. First, the Earth can absorb all of the excess energy that we need to get rid of. That’s called earthing or grounding. Second, it provides a magnetic field that protects us and energizes us.
Over the past few weeks I have been writing about how to stay healthy naturally. I wrote about going outside for natural sunlight because it is the best light for us to see by, provides natural warmth, and helps the body produce things like vitamin D. Next I wrote about the importance of clean water. After all, your body is 70% to 85% water. This post is about why fresh air is good for you.
I said last time that I’m following the basic elements. I already wrote about fire (sun) and water. This time is about air. Most people don’t think too much about the air they breathe, unless they have trouble breathing it. Asthma and some allergy sufferers think much more about the air they breathe. Whether you have trouble breathing or not, the air you breathe is very important. By the time we’re done you should understand why fresh air is good for you.
Why do we need to breathe fresh air?
A long time ago, before the invention of houses, castles and skyscrapers, human beings lived outdoors. We soaked up sunshine, ate organic food (though we didn’t call it organic back then) and drank water. Last week I talked about why sunlight is good for you, and this time is about why water is important to us.
You can look at this like the classic elements. I talked about fire, in the form of sunlight, last week. This week I’ll talk about the next element – water. Everybody knows that our bodies are mostly water. The number varies from around 70% up to 85% depending on where you get your statistics, but on average everyone seems to agree that around 3/4 of your body is water. So you need to know why water is important and how water is used in the body.
Some companies have worked very hard to make you believe that sunlight is dangerous to your health. They talk about sunburns and skin cancer and a bunch of other things to scare you into staying indoors or buying their toxic products. I’m going to show you why sunlight is good for you.
The sun powers our planet. It creates the wind and gives us heat and light. The sun gives us the energy to move by way of the plants and animals that we eat. We can’t live without the sun.
Do you have a goal to get healthy naturally? It’s a great goal to have, but do you know how to do it? That’s what I want to explore here and over the next few weeks.
A lot of people are sick. Maybe not visibly sick, like with a cold or the flu, or with a major chronic disease like cancer or diabetes, though far too many are. They are sick as in they are not healthy.
How did we as a society become so unhealthy? I think it is because we have chosen to distance ourselves from nature. When you choose to get back closer to nature then I believe you will be able to get healthy naturally.
Magnetic insoles for shoes are probably the most obvious and well known of Nikken’s magnetic products. They were the first item that Nikken released when they were founded back in the mid 1970’s in Japan. The magnetic insoles have been around for a long time and they have been improved a few times over the years. They still represent the core of what Nikken does.
Until recently, the Magsteps were the most popular magnetic insoles for shoes. They had large bumps on one surface and were smooth on the other. Nikken has phased them and the Magstrides (a thicker pair of magnetic insoles with a little bit of cushion) out over the past few years and is replacing them with the mSteps and mStrides. The new magnetic insoles have more powerful magnetic nodes and mostly insignificant bumps. They are more of a texture now.
