Water Filter Replacement Parts
The Aqua Pour manual recommends changing the carbon filter every 6 months, the mineral rocks every 12 months and the microsponge pre-filter at least every 5 years. If you use the ceramic filter instead of the microsponge then it should be changed every 2 years.
Nikken Aqua Pour Replacement Filter
The
Nikken Aqua Pour replacement filter contains three filtration materials with the largest section being carbon. The other two sections are the white pi ceramics and the sand-colored zeolite.
Aqua Pour Mineral Stones
The
mineral stones in the Aqua Pour are responsible to releasing minerals into the water and making it
alkaline. They are placed around the bottom tank leaving clearance for the filter cartridge and the spigot.
Nikken Aqua Pour Ceramic Filter and MicroSponge
The
Nikken Aqua Pour ceramic filter and the
microsponge are the two choices for your pre-filter. You can’t use both of them, at least not at the same time. There are two considerations for deciding which pre-filter to use. One is how strongly does your water need to be pre-filtered before going into the carbon, and the other is how long are you willing to let it take. The ceramic filter takes about 5 hours to completely filter the fill tank through it while the microsponge only takes about 45 minutes. Obviously, the ceramic filter is a much tighter filter if you feel that you need it.
Trying to find out why the Elastomag line has been discontinued and why Nikken might do that without a new line to replace it… It is / was some of their best product
I agree Ian. I have many customers who rely on the Elastomag wraps. The rumor that I have heard is that Nikken and the holder of a patent used in the Elastomag products decided to part ways. I don’t know that for sure and Nikken isn’t likely to make a statement on that, so we just have to do the best we can with what we have. The PowerChips are the new magnetic technology. Maybe they will figure out how to do something like that in a flexible package.
I need to purchase replacement filters, but also need the plastic knob that attaches to the bottom of the ceramic filter and the top of the carbon filter for the Aqua Pour. The company website only shows phone numbers.
