New Nikken Products 2009/2010
Feb 8, 2009: Nikken just made available the new Kenko Naturest Travel Pillow. Not to be confused with the regular Naturest Pillow, this is a travel pillow that wraps around the neck for support while sitting upright. Nikken released a limited edition travel pillow last year for the 20th Anniversary of being in the US and it sold out within a couple days. This one is also a limited edition with Nikken's 35th Anniversary logo on it (yes, Nikken has been around for 35 years). This pillow also makes use of the new natural latex filler and RAM magnetic technology that is a part of all of the new Kenko Naturest products.
Nikken introduces new products at the National Convention in October every year and a few times throughout the year. This page lists what is new as of the last convention in October 2009. Sometimes older products are discontinued to make room for these great new offerings. Check out the current list of discontinued products (some for 25% off the regular price).
The highlight this year is the new Kenko Naturest Mattress Topper (brochure). I've talked to a couple other distributors who were able to get them before the convention to try them out, and they had glowing reports of greatly improved sleep. They have been in great demand since their launch and are still on back-order and not available online. If you are interested in getting yours, call me and I can place your order to secure your place in line. UPDATE! Nikken expects the backorders to be completed sometime around the middle of this month (March), so now is a good time to think about getting yours.
Along with the new Naturest Mattress Topper is a new Kenko Naturest Pillow (brochure). This is a completely new idea. Instead of a contoured foam pillow like its predecessors, this one is stuffed like a regular pillow. To give neck support it has a foam bar inside that also holds the magnets. It's a cross between both a regular pillow and a contoured pillow with the benefits of both. UPDATE! The pillow is now available online. Check it out.
Nikken also introduced a better Meal Replacement Protein Shake Mix. Previous shakes were been based on whey or soy but there are problems with whey and soy. The biggest is that people can develop allergies to them. Studies have also shown that soy may have other issues in regard to your health. The new shakes are based on vegetable protein, namely pea protein. The little green ball of goodness. I'll be honest with you, I've never found a protein shake that I thought tasted good, and this one is no different. People who like protein shakes though have told me that they like the taste of this one. Try it and let me know what you think. As with the shakes in the past, these are available in both chocolate and vanilla. See the nutritional info panels for chocolate and vanilla.
The last new release for now is a new Calcium supplement, CalDenx. The problem with other calcium supplements is that the body cannot process calcium without help. If you are low on Vitamin C, Vitamin D, Vitamin K, magnesium, or boron your body might be able to get the calcium into the bones where it is needed. CalDex contains Calcium, Vitamin D, magnesium, and boron as well as a few other beneficial nutrients. See the quick reference sheet. It is also formulated with work very well with Nikken's other bone density supplement, OsteoDenx.
