You've probably seen other magnetic support wraps that claim to have a certain number of magnets of a certain strength. What makes Nikken's Elastomag wraps any different? There are two things.
The actual material of the Elastomag wraps is magnetic. Take the Nikken knee brace for example. I've found some online that have 32 magnets, 16 on each side of the knee. That's it. Nikken's magnetic wrap is magnetic throughout, so there is magnetic support on each side of the knee like the others online as well as above the knee, below the knee, and behind the knee. There isn't a place around the knee that doesn't have a magnet except for the hole in front.
The Elastomag magnetic wraps provide uniform magnetic coverage over the whole area.
People often ask if magnets work and what they do. What I can tell is that magnets have been used for centuries to help balance the energy in the body. Doctors use pulsed magnetic fields to help broken bones heal when the don't heal by themselves. Scientific studies are starting to appear that verify the use of magnets to heal the body. There are two books that I like that talk about the science behind using magnets and other forms of energy in healing.
- Energy Medicine: The Scientific Basis by James Oschman
- The Body Electric by Robert Becker.
