Effective Magnetic Support Wraps

Nikken Magnetic Hand WrapI have some good news and I have some bad news about the Elastomag magnetic support wraps.

First, the bad news – Nikken discontinued the Elastomag magnetic wraps back on October 1, 2011 and sold out of all of them by the end of the year.

A little more bad news – I had a handful of the Elastomag wraps that I was selling for another distributor and I have now sold the last one.

Now for the good news. I have heard a rumor that there are new magnetic support wraps coming! Yay!!! I just don’t know when.

I was very disappointed and surprised when Nikken discontinued the magnetic wraps last year but I know they had good reason for it. I also know they were as disappointed in the timing as everyone else. The Elastomag wraps sold very well and Nikken didn’t want to lose that business.

The thing is, you can’t just replace a product that worked as well as the Elastomag wraps overnight. It takes time.

The replacements were further delayed because Nikken doesn’t just replace a product with any old replacement. It has to be better.

All I know right now is that the new magnetic wraps are coming. I don’t know when they will be available and I don’t know what they will look like.

You now know everything that I know about the new magnetic wraps. If you have used the Elastomag magnetic support wraps I would love for you to share your story in a comment below. If you would like to know more about the new magnetic wraps then send me an email and I will keep you updated as I hear more. My email address is next to my picture at the top of this page.

As you mentioned Nikken have discontinued the Elastomag wrap and they may have a new product out this October. Can I ask, what is the difference between Elastomag and their KenkoTherm range?

    • Hi Rupen. The Elastomag wraps had both magnetic and far-infrared material while the KenkoTherm wraps are only far-infrared (no magnets).

        Many thanks for that.

Could you insert the Nikken PowerChips into the wraps? From the Nikken website, it seems to suggest you can. Therefore would you not get the magnetic benefit that way?

        • Rupen, yes you can place magnets, like the PowerChips or PowerPatches under a KenkoTherm wrap and get some magnetic benefit. The difference with the magnetic wraps is that they provided uniform magnetic coverage over their entire surface. A KenkoTherm wrap and PowerChips is what Nikken recommends for now.

I purchased a knee wrap many years ago, probably almost 20 years. It is still working effectively, but the wrap has seen better days! I have arthritis and it works for me! Please advise when the new and improved ones are available, as it is time to replace my old one.

    Thank you

    • Hi Carl. I’m glad that the Elastomag wrap worked well for you. I haven’t heard anything official about the new wraps so I’m hoping that Nikken will announce them in October when they usually announce their big product launch for the year. I will add you to my list of people to notify.

Do you happen to have for sale any elastomag neck wraps or back belts in large or extra large?

    • Hi Alene. I sold the last ones that I had a few months ago and I don’t know anyone else who has any. I have heard that Nikken has new wraps coming, I just don’t know when they will be available. It if is OK with you, I will email you when I know more.
