Nikken's Discontinued Products

Recently Discontinued Nikken Products

Nikken regularly discontinues products that either don't sell well or, more likely, have been upgraded and improved, making the current version obsolete. When they do this they sometimes offer the existing stock of product at discount prices. Currently, these items are selling for 25% off the regular prices.

Magnetic Mattresses, Magnetic Mattress Pads, and Magnetic Pillows

The most significant change recently in the Nikken catalog is with the Magnetic Sleep System. At the annual convention in October Nikken introduced a new magnetic mattress topper and pillow made from natural latex and a new magnetic technology. To make room for these new items Nikken has discontinued all of the existing magnetic mattresses, mattress pads, and pillow. All of the remaining stock is 25% off until it is gone.

Here is a listing of what was left the last time I checked.

  • Kenko Aire - magnetic air mattress - Full, King, and California King
  • Kenko Dream Lite Pad - magnetic mattress pad - Queen, King, and California King
  • Ultra Kenko Pad - magnetic mattress pad - Demo and California King
  • Kenko Dream Pillow - magnetic pillow

If you are looking for something in a twin-size, think about the Ultra Kenko Demo Pad. It is sized for a massage table so it is a couple inches narrower and an inch longer than a twin pad.

Nikken Nutritionals - Meal Replacement Shakes and the Calcium Supplement

Two of Nikken's nutritional products have also been discontinued to make room for improved replacement products. First, the Kenzen Creamy Protein Shakes (Vanilla and Chocolate) have been discontinued and replaced with the new Body Balance Healthy Meal Replacement Mix (Vanilla and Chocolate). The old shakes were based on soy protein which posed a problem for some people. The new shakes are based on pea protein. The old shakes are sold out.

The other nutritional supplement to be replaced by a new and improved version is Kenzen Calcium Plus. This calcium supplement has been replaced with CalDenx, a calcium supplement that also contains additional nutrients that help the body to make good use of the calcium. Calcium Plus is no longer available.

Additional Discontinued Products

There are some additional products that have been discontinued that don't yet have a replacement product and have sold out.

The stainless steel and titanium magnetic bracelets are gone. The TriPhase sport bracelets are still available and are very inexpensive. If you want a magnetic bracelet that looks classy, check out the Shannon Miller edition sport bracelet. It is black with gold accents and a portion of the proceeds goes to the Shannon Miller Foundation to help bring awareness to childhood obesity.

Finally, there is the Kenzen Body Balance Detoxifying Cleanse. The only substitute that I can suggest is plenty of water and fiber.
