Today is Sept 22, 2010 – the first day of Fall. The nights are getting cooler so now is a great time to think about getting a Nikken Comforter.

The Nikken magnetic blanket makes use of fibers that absorb ambient energy and then send it back out as far-infrared energy that helps you to stay a comfortable temperature all night long.

The nights where I live are getting down to the upper 50′s or low 60′s and we have been leaving our windows open at night, which has allowed the temperature inside to drop down into the mid to upper 60′s. Just the Kenko Dream Light Comforter is enough to keep us warm through the night.

The Nikken magnetic blankets come in a heavy and a light weight. I live in the northern part of Georgia, getting into the mountains north of Atlanta, and the light comforter is enough for our winters and not too warm for our summers. If you live farther north where temperatures are often below freezing during the winter months then you might prefer the heavy (Kenko Dream Comforter) comforter.

You will notice that there isn’t a full-size comforter. If you need a full comforter then you can order a queen and let it hang over the side or get a twin and have it just cover the top of your bed.

If you have used the Nikken comforters before please tell me about your experience with it in a comment below. I would also appreciate it if you would share this with your followers on the social networks.

My first experience with Nikken was with the Ultra Kenko Pad. A massage therapist friend invited us to a Wellness Home Preview and we were allowed to borrow the magnetic mattress pad for a week to see what we thought of it. The short version of the story is that we ended up joining Nikken and highly recommend both the product and the business.

We put the magnetic pad on our bed and covered it over with the sheet and settled in for the night under the far-infrared comforter. Nobody told us to put our regular mattress pad over it too. I wish they had because my first thought was that I was lying on a rock. Firmness aside, I slept better than I had in years. With the combination of the magnets, far-infrared, and negative ions everything on the bed just felt right.

Since we joined, Nikken has introduced the Kenko Air mattress which is an air mattress, similar to those number beds, with the Ultra Kenko Pad on top of it. I tried one out once and it is very nice. You can control the firmness of each side of the bed independently. We don’t have one yet because our existing mattress is in great shape and there is no need to upgrade yet.
