A magnetic shoulder support may help.

I had a customer a few months ago who had a shoulder problem and was considering surgery if it didn’t get better. Someone told them that a magnetic necklace would help, so they ordered one from me. While I do believe that the necklace could help with the problem over time, it would take longer than they were willing to wait before commencing with the surgery option.

A magnetic shoulder wrap is a better choice for shoulder problems like this one, something that will apply magnetic energy directly to the area instead of waiting for the changes to propagate to the shoulder through various pathways.

The best magnetic shoulder supports are the ones that provide a more even magnetic field around the shoulder, not necessarily the ones with the strongest magnets. Contrary to what some people think, stronger isn’t always better when it comes to magnets. We live in the Earth’s magnetic field which is very weak as far as magnetic fields go. S0, a weak magnet can supplement the natural magnetic field to help stimulate the body’s healing process, which is all we are doing when we use magnets.

I like the Nikken shoulder wrap because it creates a uniform magnetic field around the shoulder. The material itself is magnetic, unlike other magnet shoulder wraps which may have 4 to 16 individual magnets glued to the material of the wrap. With the Nikken shoulder wrap, every point on the shoulder is being influenced by a magnetic field. For some added assurance to the effectiveness, Nikken has been studying and manufacturing magnetic products for the body since 1975, so they know about magnets and their effects on the body.

One thing to keep in mind, if you’ve been working on creating your shoulder problem for several years then it isn’t going to go away over night, regardless of what anyone tells you. I recommend using magnets and getting massage and physical therapy to help with shoulder prolbems if you have the time to work with natural solutions. Surgery is an option that can work, but there is a long and painful recovery process afterward to deal with as well.

In the interest of full disclosure, I am an independent distributor for Nikken and make money by selling Nikken’s products. With that said, I am a distributor because I like Nikken’s products and use them, not the other way around. I am not a doctor and Nikken’s magnets are not medical devices. Nothing here has been approved by the FDA and you should always check with your doctor for medical advice. Let them know that you want to look at natural alternatives and see if they will work with you.

I hope you found this helpful. I would appreciate it if you would tell me about your experiences with magnetic wraps and share this with your followers on the social networks.

I sometimes hear from people that magnets don’t work and that any so-called benefits are just the placebo effect. There are a few ways to show that Nikken magnets are not just placebo.

Scientific Studies

One is a placebo-controlled, double-blind study. Doctors are starting to take an interest in magnets as they look for more effective ways to deal with some conditions. One such doctor is Dr. Weintraub who has conducted studies with magnetic insoles to control peripheral neuropathy in diabetics.

Benefits of Magnets on Animals

Another place to look to rule out the placebo effect is with animals. You cannot convince an animal that a sugar pill will do anything other than taste sweet on their tongue, and that is by direct experience. I know of a few Nikken distributors and customers who are using magnets with horses with excellent results.

Usually I hear about people using the Kenko Minis or magnetic insoles on the hooves or a magnetic blanket over their back. I imagine that they also like the Magboys, the MagCreator, and the PowerMag.

Thermographic Imaging

Finally, there is thermographic imagery. Thermographics has been used to find hot and cold spots in houses to show where there may be problems with insulation, wiring, mold, and so on. It is starting to be used in medical settings to find areas of inflammation for early detection of cancers and other tumors.

To show the real benefits of magnets, a thermographic image can be taken before and after the use of magnets to show what has changed. In most cases, the images will show more even warmth in the body. With diabetics with peripheral neuropathy for example, the before image may show that the feet and toes are cold, indicating poor circulation to the feet. After using magnets on the feet, usually either insoles or the Body Energizer, the image will show much more heat in the feet and toes.

Once the thermographic image starts in this video you will see that the persons toes are black indicating that they are less than 70 degrees. As the time progresses, color floods into the persons feet indicating greater warmth.

I hope you have found this informative and that you see that magnets can help. Please leave me a comment below about any experience you have had with magnets and also share this with your followers on the social networks.

You can read about the other two in my recent posts about the Kenko Power Patch magnets and the Aqua Pour Water Filter.

Nikken has a different approach to nutritional supplements that what you will find at the store. It is about whole-food organic nutrition, not vitamins. You won’t find a Vitamin C supplement or a Vitamin B12 supplement. Instead, the focus on the body’s systems. They have their core nutrition line with the Jade GreenZymes and Ciaga. They have an an immunity supplement, a liver support supplement, and a digestion supplement. Even the calcium supplement isn’t just calcium.

Back to the Jade GreenZymes. It is more of a food than a supplement although you only take it at a teaspoon at a time. Young green barley grass is considered one of Nature’s perfect foods. It is packed full of vitamins, minerals, and other nutrients that the body needs to stay healthy.

Nikken’s barley grass is organically grown, harvested at its peak, and cold-processed to get as much nutritonal content as they possibly can. When you open your own jar you will see it for yourself. The powder is GREEN.

The bottle recommends 1 teaspoon mixed with cold water 3 times a day. I sometimes add my daily ounce of Ciaga to my morning glass of Jade GreenZymes. The Ciaga covers the taste of the grass if that is a problem for you. It was for me at first but I quickly got used to it. If it is something that you absolutely cannot get used to, then there are capsules as well.

What I like about the Jade GreenZymes is how it makes me feel. I always feel energized after drinking it. It is a great way to start my day and it works very well as a pick-me-up in the afternoon instead of going for something with sugar or caffeine.

It is available in a jar of powder, tubes of powder that are very convenient to take with you, and as capsules if you just can’t get beyond the grassy taste. I think it tastes like the grass that it is. Others have told me that it tastes like green tea or like peas. Try it for yourself and decide for yourself.

If hope you found this interesting. If you have tried Nikken’s Jade GreenZymes then leave me a comment below and tell me what you think it tastes like.
The Aqua Pour Gravity Water Filter is another one of my three most favorite Nikken items along with the Kenko Power Patches and the Jade GreenZymes Barley Grass.

The reason that I like the Aqua Pour so much is because it provides excellent water filtration and great tasting water for a reasonable initial cost and low annual maintenance cost. It is also easy to set up and maintain. If you have any questions about how to set one up, I created a couple videos to help you out. They are down a little ways on the right-hand side of this page.

The Aqua Pour is one of the first Nikken products that I purchased in the Spring of 2006 and we still use it every day. We have ours set up on a low table so that our kids can reach it to get water whenever they want it. It is just about all they drink and I credit that Pi water with keeping them healthy even when the other kids at school are getting sick.

The Aqua Pour holds several liters of water and is a pretty simple water filtration system. You pour unfiltered water in the top, the “fill tank”. Gravity pulls the water down through a pre-filter then through the 3-stage filter cartridge and into the “supply tank”. As it sits in the bottom tank it is absorbing minerals from the manufactured mineral rocks. Finally, the water passes through a magnetic field as it passed into the spigot. That’s all there is to it.

As I said at the beginning of this post, maintenance is easy. If you follow the manual, you will replace the 3-stage filter cartridge every 6 months and the mineral rocks once a year. Depending on which pre-filter you use, you either replace it every 2 years or 5 years.

Two different pre-filters come in the box with your Aqua Pour and you choose one of them to use based on your water source. I usually recommend the sponge if you are on chlorinated city water and the ceramic pre-filter if you have a well. The sponge is good for up to 5 years or when it won’t come clean when you rinse it off. When you use the sponge pre-filter it take aobut 45 minutes for the water in the fill tank to completely drain into the supply tank.

The ceramic dome pre-filter is good for two years and takes a little more patience. It takes about 5 hours for the fill tank to drain completely through the ceramic filter. We are on a well, so we started off using the ceramic dome. We would make sure that we filled up the fill tank at night before going to bed so that it would have time to drain through before morning.

I have another post that I wrote a few months back with some great tips about how to get the most from your Aqua Pour. Check it out here, especially if you are having any challenges with your unit. You will probably find the answer there. If not, then contact me and I will help you.

I hope that you found this helpful. If you have any experiences with your Aqua Pour that you would like to share, then please do so in a comment below. Also, please share this out to your followers on the social networks. I would greatly appreciate that.

Distributors who have been with Nikken longer still talk about the Kenko Mini, a larger, more expensive magnet that you have to figure out how to hold where you want it.

The Nikken Power Patch comes already attached to a self-adhesive disk, like a circle Band-Aid, so it is ready to go straight from the box. For price of 2 Kenko Minis you can get 30 Power Patches. That’s an awesome deal.

Their low price per magnet makes that a great introductory product for people who haven’t experienced the benefits of magnets before and may questions whether they really work or not. I sometimes hear from people who have been told by someone that they should try one of Nikken’s magnetic mattress pads. They come to my website and see how expensive they are and decide not to buy because they aren’t sure that they are going to get their money’s worth. That is perfectly understandable.

If they contact me instead of just leaving then I recommend that they get a couple Kenko Power Patches and experience the benefits of magnets with a minimal investment before making the big investment of a mattress pad. In case you are wondering, I sell them for $2 a piece. Like I said, they are a small investment to prove to yourself that they work.

I hope you have found this helpful. If you have a favorite Nikken product or an experience with the Kenko Power Patches then I would love to hear about it in a comment below. I would also appreciate it if you would share this with your followers on the social networks.

We have been using infrared energy for as long as we have been here on planet Earth. It is the energy that we receive from our sun that keeps us warm.

What is Far-Infrared Energy?

We are all familiar with the electromagnetic spectrum of radiation, especially the visible spectrum that we perceive as the rainbow of colors. We also hear about ultraviolet light, the energy that is the next frequency range above the color violet, that we use sunscreen to protect our skin from. Infrared energy is the frequency range immediately below the color red and we perceive it as heat.

The infrared range is further broken down into three sub-ranges: near-infrared, mid-infrared, and far-infrared. Near-infrared is often used in heat lamps, like those that keep your french fries warm at fast food restaurants, and is the part of the infrared range closest to the color red. Mid-infrared is in the middle of the range obviously and I believe I was told that it is used in remote controls but I cannot find anything about that now. The lower portion of the infrared range is called far-infrared and is often used in therapeutic settings, like far-infrared saunas, support wraps, and blankets.

What are the Benefits of Far-Infrared Energy?

Far-infrared energy is used to provide heat deep into your muscles. Near-infrared doesn’t penetrate much at all. If you put your hand under a heat lamp your skin will get warm. It heats from the outside in. Mid-infrared penetrates a little bit deeper. Far-infrared can penetrate deep and warm from the inside out. The best way I know to explain the feeling of far-infrared energy is when you are outside on a sunny Winter day. It is cold but if you face the sun you can feel its warmth on your face. That is far-infrared energy.

S0, the benefit of far-infrared is its deep warming ability. For example, a far-infrared heating pad is able to warm the muscle or joint that needs the heat without overheating the skin whereas a regular heating pad can’t.

Nikken’s Far-Infrared Technology

Nikken’s far-infrared products use specially coated fibers that can absorb ambient energy in the room and reflect it back out as far-infrared energy. That ambient energy can be sunlight, heat, or your excess body heat. Because it can absorb your excess body heat and reflect it back out as far-infrared, it can actually cool you too. I know it sounds hard to believe, but it does work.

Nikken’s comforters are the most popular of Nikken’s far-infrared products. They are very effective at helping you regulate your body temperature. I have heard many married couples talk about how she can stay warm enough and he can stay cool enough to sleep comfortably through the night with just the comforter. I experience that myself every night in both winter and summer.

What has really impressed me with the far-infrared comforters is those rare times when one of my kids runs a high temperature. We wrap them up at night in the comforter and their temperature is back to normal in the morning. Keep in mind that when you have a high temperature, it is because your body is fighting something off, so if it still needs a high temperature then it will go back up.

Nikken has also incorporated their technology into far-infrared socks to keep your feet comfortable and reduce sweating. They also have far-infrared support wraps and coat many of their magnetic products with a far-infrared coating. If you have used any of Nikken’s magnetic pads, like the Kenko Flex or Kenko Mini, the far-infrared is the black material on the side that goes toward your skin. It is also the material on the darker side of Nikken’s Magstrides magnetic insoles.

I hope you have found this information helpful and if you have a story you would like to share about a time you used a far-infrared product, then please do so in a comment below. Please share this information with your followers on the social networks too.

My favorite nutritional drink is Nikken Ciaga Juice.

Ciaga in’t actually a juice, it is a blend of 21 juices and extracts including noni juice, pomegranate juice, and goji berry juice among others. If you want to see the whole list then check out the ingredients in Ciaga here. Two important things about Ciaga that make it stand out from the crowd of nutritional drinks is that Ciaga does not include any preservatives or added water.

No Preservatives or Added Water

Preservatives in other nutritional drinks tend to react with the natural ingredients to make potentially toxic chemicals. People have asked me about Ciaga vs Vemma and Mona Vie vs Ciaga. While both of these products contain great nutritional content, they both contain additional water and preservatives. At least they did when I last saw the nutritional labels. I wasn’t able to find them online for this post. I would appreciate it if someone could forward me links to their labels.

How to Take Ciaga

The bottle suggests just one ounce per day. That’s it. Drink up. What I like to do is take my one ounce of Ciaga, a teaspoon of Jade GreenZymes barley grass, and add water. As you can imagine, that many juices and extracts in one bottle with out water to dilute it could be pretty potent. It is too sweet for my taste which is why I water it down. I mix in the barley grass powder because the sweetness covers the grass taste. It also makes for a great drink to wash down any other nutritional supplements that I want to take.

Where to Buy Ciaga

All that’s left is where to buy it, and you can do that right here. If you would like to get a discount, you can get a 20% discount by picking up my FREE newsletter. I include a promotion code in each issue and you can get it on the right side of this page.

If you have any experience with Ciaga that you would like to share then please leave me a comment below. I would also appreciate it if you would share this with your followers on the social networks.

Here’s a good question that someone asked recently: “Do Nikken products really work?”.

Yes, of course they do. There is one thing to keep in mind though about the Nikken products. They don’t work unless you actually use them. I have actually had customers return product without even opening the package.

Will Nikken Products Work for You?

So how do you know if Nikken’s products are going to work for you or not? There are a few items that have some samples available, like the Jade GreenZymes and CM Cream. Other items are inexpensive enough to try in small quantities, like the Kenko Power Patches. Samples are a great way to try out the products to prove how well they will work for you.

A lot of Nikken’s items are expensive and don’t have samples available, like the bigger magnetic items. If people are concerned about an expensive magnet working for them, I usually recommend that try a less expensive one first. The Kenko Power Patches are great for this too. It is a great way to prove to yourself that Nikken’s magnets are effective then they can feel more assured that the more expensive ones will work too. Sometimes they find out that the less expensive ones will meet their needs and they don’t need the more expensive ones.

Contact me to see if there is a sample available for what you want to try.

I have received a few questions about Nikken magnets lately that I want to take a few minutes to answer.

How to Use Nikken Magnets

The first question is “how to use Nikken magnets?” When I get this question I assume people are talking about the Nikken magnetic patches, like the Kenko Mini, Kenko Flex, or Kenko Power Patches.

The Kenko Mini and Kenko Flex are typically used with the black side against the body and can be used anywhere that you need them and can get them to stay. The Kenko Flex is usually used on the lower back. The Kenko Mini can be used anywhere. I often hear about people placing a Kenko Mini in one their pants pockets or a shirt pocket. That is an easy way to hold them near where you want them.

I find the Kenko Power Patch to be easier to use because they are smaller and come already attached to a self-adhesive disk, like a circle Band-Aid. The bumpy side is intended to go against the skin and works great in most places. The smooth side is probably more comfortable against bone, like at the temples, in which case you can just peel the magnet off the adhesive and flip it over. I also think the Power Patch is a better value because you can get 30 of them for about the same price as 2 Kenko Minis.

How Do I Use My Insoles

Another common question I get is “how do I use my insoles?”

Magsteps first. Brand new they are probably too big to go into your shoes, so cut them down to the right size using a regular pair of scissors. There are faint lines at the toe and heel on the smooth side to show where to cut for your shoe size. The Magsteps are designed to go into your shoes with the bumps facing up toward your feet. If you find the bumps uncomfortable then take them out of your shoes, flip them over so that the smooth side is up, then put them back in. I recommend that you try the bumps again after 6 months or so. I don’t notice the bumps anymore even when I go hiking.

Now the Magstrides. The dark side with the Nikken EQL+FIR logo goes up toward your feet. Like the Magsteps, they will probably be too big for your shoes straight out of the box. The bottom side has the lines showing where to cut for your shoe size. Regular scissors will cut them. The dark surface has a far-infrared ( that’s what FIR stands for ) coating on it that helps to reduce sweating in your shoes.

Which Side on the Skin for Nikken Magnets

This is a common question that I receive about the Nikken magnets and I have already answered it for some of the magnets. More generally, if their is a bumpy side or a darker side, that is the side that goes toward your body. The bumps will be there to shape the magnetic field or to stimulate the skin and muscle, kind of like a passive massage. The darker side is usually dark because it is coated with Nikken’s far-infrared material that will help to regulate temperature to either gently heat the muscle or reduce sweating. Those are some good guidelines to help you out if you see a Nikken magnet that you aren’t sure about.

I hope that helped answer any questions you have about the Nikken magnets. If you have a question that I didn’t answer here then please leave me a comment below and I will get you an answer. I would also appreciate it if you would share this with your followers on Twitter and Facebook. There are some convenient buttons at the beginning of this post for you to do that.

I love Nikken’s biaxial magnets, the Body Energizer and the Power Mag, but I wondered about any potentially harmful electromagnetic fields because they are powered by electricity. It turns out that it isn’t a problem.

What are Biaxial Magnets?

Nikken’s Biaxial magnetic products all contain magnets that spin on two axes to create a three-dimensional magnetic field. Let’s start with a regular static magnet, like a Kenko Mini or a Power Patch. The magnetic field flows out of one pole and wraps around to the opposite pole. They have to be pretty close to the skin in order for you to get any benefit and the only affect energy that moves perpendicular to the field, meaning that these effect energy moving along just under the skin.

Now put that static magnet on an axis so that it can spin. Now you have a Magboy or a Magcreator. Spinning these devices creates a bigger magnetic field. To be honest, I don’t know why it gets bigger, but it is easy to prove that it does with a simple magnetic field sensor. By spinning the Magboy you can affect energy deeper in the body without having to actually be in direct contact with it.

The next step is to add a second axis to create a spherical magnetic field. So that you can understand what I mean by a spherical magnetic field, let’s say that we put a small LED light on a magnet. If you spin it on one axis, the light moves about in a circle. When you add a second axis, the LED will move in all directions and become a ball of light. Can you see that?

The Benefits of Biaxial Magnets

There are two big benefits to the magnets spinning on two axes. One is that the magnetic field is much bigger than the field from a magnet spinning on one magnet. Again, this is easily proven with a magnetic field detector. The other is that with the magnet spinning in essentially every direction, now all energy flows within the expanded reach of the magnet are perpendicular to the magnetic field at some point, so they are all affected by this magnetic field. For example, if you have your feet on the Biaxial Body Energizer then the magnetic field can be detected at the level of your knees. If you hold the Biaxial PowerMag behind someone, you can detect the magnetic field while holding the sensor in front of them. That is, the magnetic field passes through the body and can affect everything inside the body.

To talk about specific benefits of using magnets gets dangerously close to making medical claims. What I can tell you is that people can feel the effects of the Power Mag held near the neck, not making skin contact, so something is happening. My grandmother likes to go dancing on the weekend and uses the Biaxial Body Energizer after she gets home because it makes her feet feel better. There are more impressive stories of people using these products as well. I just want to give you an idea of what most people experience their first time using these devices.

Like I said at the start of this post, since these are electrically-powered devices, I wondered about any potentially harmful electromagnetic fields. It turns out that the potential harm comes from noise creating from alternating current (AC), the current that the electricity supplies to our homes and is not present with direct current (DC). When using the plug-in adapter, the current is converted from AC to DC at the wall so that only DC current is present inside the devices. Batteries aren’t an issue because they can only supply DC current. So, harmful EMF isn’t a concern when using the biaxial magnetic devices.

The biaxial magnets are a great example of what Nikken has done with their 35 years of experience developing magnetic products to support the body. If you would like more information or you have had an experience using these devices then please share it below in a comment. I would also appreciate it if you would share this post with your followers on the social networks.
