My Nikken Magnetic Mattress Pad

My first experience with Nikken was with the Ultra Kenko Pad.  A massage therapist friend invited us to a Wellness Home Preview and we were allowed to borrow the magnetic mattress pad for a week to see what we thought of it.  The short version of the story is that we ended up joining Nikken and highly recommend both the product and the business.

We put the magnetic pad on our bed and covered it over with the sheet  and settled in for the night under the far-infrared comforter.  Nobody told us to put our regular mattress pad over it too.  I wish they had because my first thought was that I was lying on a rock.  Firmness aside, I slept better than I had in years.  With the combination of the magnets, far-infrared, and negative ions everything on the bed just felt right.

Since we joined, Nikken has introduced the Kenko Air mattress which is an air mattress, similar to those number beds, with the Ultra Kenko Pad on top of it.  I tried one out once and it is very nice.  You can control the firmness of each side of the bed independently.  We don’t have one yet because our existing mattress is in great shape and there is no need to upgrade yet.

Great and I have the new Organic KENKO NATUREST™ MATTRESS TOPPER with Revolutionary RAMTM Technology for enhanced magnetic coverage and it is the best…

  2. Congrats on already having your Naturest pad. My Royal Diamond upline is still waiting for one they ordered in November. Hopefully the back order situation will be done in March.

  3. That is really nice. Congratulations.

  4. The therapist seems like a great friend for suggesting the pad to the writer. This is a product I would like to try out and see what I think. The story makes me curious how well the mattress pad actually works.

  5. Nikken discontinued these pads last fall ( October 2009 ) and replaced them with a new latex pad with a better magnet technology. As for the question about whether they work or not, the best thing to do is ask the people who use them. I've heard of amazing results from people who received product from the initial run. I'm hoping to hear back in the next couple months from people who purchased the pads in past few weeks.

I have severe leg muscle pain, joint pain and unable to sleep all night. The doctors have had me on all kinds medication for these problems. I had to take so much medication I could not even function to work. Let me point out, I am 64 yrs old, diabetic 2 and by now should have some aches and pains. A friend introduced me to a Nikken representative, she loaded me a magnetic topper to try for two weeks. At first I thought this lady was crazy. After the second night I was like a new man. I was able to sleep all night and the pains in my legs and hips where so much better. A few days after returning the mattress the pains started back. It did floor me when she gave me the price for a queen size topper. I knew now I needed magnets so purchased another brand of what I thought was equal. When I received the topper I just closed the box and returned the item, there was no comparison. Someday I will have a Nikken Pad! You get what you pay for.

  9. Thank you very much for sharing your experience with the mattress topper here. It is true that you get what you pay for. I don’t think that you need to live with aches and pains at 64 years old. Science says we should be able to live to at least 120, so you’re only middle-aged. There are less expensive magnets that you can try for specific aches and pains until you have saved up enough money for the topper.

    Hi,

Anyone tried magnetic mattress from other make? How do you compare which is good?
    Thanks.

  11. I have not tried any other magnetic mattress pads. I like Nikken’s pad. I sleep very well on it as do my wife and both of my kids. I have no need to try anything different.

  12. Gerry says:

Hi Wayne; thanks for this website.

Did you sleep on one of the older mattresses or the older mattress pads? Is this new system any better?

We have both the bed and the older topper, but I’m experiencing hip pains and my wife isn’t sleeping deeply at night. We are 58. It’s hard to think about spending $1500 plus on a mattress topper with out trying it out. It would be nice to have a trial to see if we want to make the plunge.

  13. Thanks for the questions Gerry. My family still sleeps on the older pads. One reason is the cost to replace 1 king and 2 twin pads. The second reason is that our small kids still sometimes crawl into our bed at night. The magnets in the older pads are laid out in a grid while the magnets in the new pads are grouped into two zones where two people would normally sleep. For us, that means that one or two people would be without any magnets to sleep on. So until our kids get a little older, the older pad works better for us.

For your situation the newer pad may work better. Without making any medical claims, the magnets in the new pad are stronger and everyone I have talked to says that they sleep much deeper and longer on the new pad. As you said, it is hard to think about spending $1500 or more on something new with some assurance that it is going to work better for you. If you don’t already have the rest of the sleep system, the pillows and comforter, then I would probably go with them first. They are a much less expensive way to add more magnets to your sleep environment, and they add the far-infrared and negative ion technologies too. I think you will get more benefit from adding the rest than by upgrading what you already have.
